Helpful links:

ENOCH of New Jersey

This is the state of New Jersey ’s homeschool site.  It contains much useful information about homeschooling in New Jersey, New Jersey law, local convention information and more.

Home School Legal Defense Association

This is a non-profit advocacy organization established to defend and advance the constitutional right of parents to direct the education of their children.  It contains much helpful information on homeschooling and getting started.  It is highly recommended that anyone homeschooling become a member of HSLDA.  As a member of SCCHS you are eligible for a $15 discount for membership in HSLDA.

Other info that is good to know:

Sussex County Main Library offers home school library cards. This gives you the ability to take out books in the juvenile section for the entire school year (September until June). This is the same ability public schools are offered.

Internet services offer teacher rates. They usually give a pretty good break! Even if they don’t advertise it, be sure to ask. You will be very surprised on what they can offer.

Book stores such as Barnes and Noble, and some crafty stores, like A.C. Moore, offer teacher discounts.

Feel free to ask when you're out…”Do you offer teacher discounts?” It’s a wonderful and very helpful thing, especially on that tight budget.
